XFCE Nation was established/setup to help promote the Xfce desktop environment and nurture the community around it. This lightweight desktop environment is used in popular Xfce-based distributions like Xubuntu, Linux Mint, Manjaro, Linux Lite, MX Linux, and Peppermint OS, but is also available in most Linux and BSD distributions including Debian, Fedora, openSUSE, GhostBSD, FuryBSD and MidnightBSD.

Unlike the Gnome and KDE desktop environments which have foundations behind them, Xfce unfortunately does not, and as a result has no income that could be used to support developers, sysadmins, designers, marketters, documentation writers, etc.

It is the goal of XFCE Nation to help change this situation, which will lead to more users contributing to it, using it, and recommending it. You are welcome to join and help us achieve these goals, as we are always looking for new ideas for things that may be missing in the community.
